Charlie Walden

Hi. I’m Charlie Walden, a writer and animator in Chicago, IL.

I write scripts for stage & screen, then produce them with a low budget if I feel like it. This can take a long time because there’s so little money involved. I do other stuff for money like working as a park ranger, truck driver, and riverboat tour guide.

My first animated series was the three-episode “MANDEVILLE”, a comic medieval Star Trek made out of woodcuts. It won the jury award at the 2021 Cuzco Underground Cinema Festival in Peru and was screened at the Montreal Int’l Animation Festival, El Ojo Iluso in Venezuela, and various theaters throughout New York City.

I am open to the idea of selling my work for massive amounts of $$$, but this is 2024, so I’m not counting on it.
